What is a neuromodulator?
Neuromodulators, such as botox, are treatments for wrinkles which have been caused by repeated movements that work by relaxing small muscles of the face. The medications work by blocking a chemical release between nerves and their related muscles. When the muscles can no longer contract normally, the skin overlying the muscle becomes flat and lines in the face diminish.
Are neuromodulators safe? They have been available for 20 years, and have been used to treat many diseases. In fact, it is used in children as young as 2 years old to treat cerebral palsy. It has been proven to be very safe through extensive testing and research. Of course, patient selection and adherence to strict treatment protocols is required for any procedure, cosmetic or not.
Isn't it poisonous? No, it is not toxic to you and it is not a poison. The product is a natural, purified protein - it is NOT the actual bacteria that causes botulism. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Nuceiva are Health Canada approved drugs used in very tiny doses and derived from a naturally occurring bacterium – like how Penicillin comes from mould.
Will I still have facial expressions?
Neuromodulatorsare only intended to target the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles. Becuase the medication is instilled directly into the muscles responsible for these movements you will still be able to smile, frown and make other expressions.

What is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal uses pulses of highly concentrated light. These beams of light are emitted from the hand piece of the laser into the hair follicles. The pigment in the follicles absorbs the light, causing it to heat up and destroy the hair.
Is it painful?
Pain tolerance varies from patient to patient, We have a topical numbing agent for client comfort during procedures if required. Most clients find the procedure tolerable as our laser has built in cooling. We also have stainless steel cold rollers that can be used during treatment.
How long does it last?
Although laser hair removal effectively delays hair growth for long periods, it usually doesn't result in permanent hair removal. Multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed for initial hair removal, and maintenance treatments might be needed as well.
Who is a candidate?
Laser hair removal is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair, but it can be successfully used on all skin types.
Any hormonal changes such as pregnancy, menopause and PCOS can affect hair growth.
Why do I need to avoid tanning or heat after my treatment?
Laser beams heat up the area treated which destroys the follicle and inhibits hair growth. Because this is a heat injury, adding more heat increases the risk of complications.
What is it?
Venus Versa™ (MP)2 treatments use a non-surgical radio frequency, pulsed electromagnetic device designed to tighten the skin, reduce cellulite, body circumference, and soften wrinkles.
How does it work?
The device delivers radio frequency and pulsed electromagnetic energy targeted at the tissue,
designed to damage the existing collagen, stimulating the body’s healing response.
Once the collagen has been damaged, the body begins to repair the skin by replacing the damaged tissue with new collagen. The radio frequency also stimulates the body to produce new fibroblasts, the “houses” that create collagen, thus increasing the amount of collagen in the tissue. This wound healing response
creates a smoother appearance to the skin, plumps up fine lines and wrinkles, and treats acne.
Pulsed electromagnetic fields increase the vascularity of the skin and create new pathways for the blood to flow. This increase in blood will provide more oxygen to the skin and bring more nutrients to the tissue. A fresher, more youthful glow is common after treatments.
When will I see results?
Immediately after the procedure you will notice swelling, tightening and a glow. Best results are observed approximately six months after your last treatment, when collagen regeneration is at its peak.
